As Texas is again enduring another February with extended school and business closures due to freezing precipitation and ice, we thought it would be good to remind everyone of the current state of Texas law, as set forth by the Texas Supreme Court, for premises owners and operators presented with icy conditions.
Naturally accumulating ice from a winter storm is not an “unreasonably dangerous” condition sufficient to support a premises liability claim.
